Finistere Ventures Co-Founder and Partner Arama Kukutai to Speak at Agrivest Israel 2016

Kukutai to Join Expert Discussion on Trends in AgTech Investments

PALO ALTO, CA — September 23, 2016 AgTech venture pioneer Finistere Ventures today announced that Arama Kukutai will discuss what to expect in the world of AgTech investments at Agrivest Israel in a session titled, “The Trends in AgTech Investments” on Tuesday, September 27 at 4:30 p.m. IST at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel.

Moderated by Gideon Soesman of GreenSoil Investments, Kukutai and experienced venture capitalists and advisors from Anterra Capital, Evogene, Greenberg Traurig and Syngenta Ventures will explore the opportunities and potential developments in the AgTech sector. Kukutai will provide his perspective on the technology farmers need most and the components of disruptive Ag technology. He will also dive into what AgTech startups need to do to turn investor interest into pervasive market traction.

Kukutai has been an investor in the AgTech space for over a decade at Finistere and prior to that had a successful career in agribusiness investment and farming.

Agriculture is undergoing unprecedented change through consolidation as mega-companies in seed and crop protection emerge. Innovation is going to be critical to launch the next wave of technologies that can help farmers to deliver more value per acre, sustainably. It is a great time for Israeli startups to take advantage of the appetite for new technology, and we are committed to helping the best entrepreneurs build a bridge into North America, the center of the global AgTech market.
